“A massive rally organized by the leading factions of Israel’s ultra-Orthodox society is expected to draw hundreds of thousands of participants on Thursday in Jerusalem who will be protesting the arrests of yeshiva students accused of evading Israel’s mandatory military service – a rare show of unity among Haredi factions that are often deeply divided over politics and relations with the state. … The organizers stressed again that the protest is not against the draft exemption law itself, but against the arrests of yeshiva students labeled as deserters.” (10/30/25)
