The scale and speed are dizzying — and they jeopardize the United States’[s] credibility as the world’s leading defender of free expression as other democracies continue to falter. … the Trump administration’s deliberate and focused attacks on free expression don’t just impact America, they reverberate globally. Across the democratic world, a free speech recession continues to worsen.
