One is NOT the loneliest number, no matter what Harry Nilsson thought (or Three Dog Night’s Chuck Negron most famously sang).
The loneliest number — for us at the freedom movement’s daily newspaper, anyway — is zero, as in the “zero-dollar day” we had yesterday in our year-end fundraiser.
One donation, in any amount, would have at least meant progress.
Instead, our total remains (as of 5:30 am on Tuesday) at $675.50.
That leaves us $2,075 short of our $5,501 goal (no, not bad math on my part — reader GL will “match funds” for the LAST half of the goal amount, once the rest of you kick in the FIRST half).
