“Young healthy people no longer have easy access to a Covid-19 vaccine, according to public health experts, after the FDA on Wednesday revoked remaining emergency use authorizations for the shots. … the decision to remove emergency use of the shots announced in a post by HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on X, marks a substantial shift in vaccine policy. The emergency authorizations, which were granted in late 2020 for adults and over the next two years for children, have made the Covid vaccines easily accessible for nearly all Americans. Public health experts say the change could raise liability and insurance coverage questions for younger people without at least one pre-existing condition who still want to be vaccinated against the virus.
