“Trump’s 15% tariffs, as unpredictable as they are, and overall the highest since the 1930s, have jacked up costs for businesses and American consumers. For example, Procter & Gamble raised prices on a quarter of its products. Manufacturers, hit with pricier imported parts, shed 11,000 jobs in July, the third straight month of losses. Corporations can only hide the cost of tariffs for so long before they start to hit the shelves for consumers; once the inventory front-running dissipates, Americans are in for a sticker shock. Thanks, Trump and Navarro!
