“March NPR story … explains how Arab Trump supporters in Michigan reacted to President Donald Trump’s approach to the Gaza conflict …. ‘He didn’t say anything like that before,’ NPR quotes Ibrahim Duhaini. ‘When he came to Dearborn, to the community, he said that he would strive for peace and justice for the whole region.’ You don’t say! There’s enterprise behind that quote. It requires not only finding a onetime Trump supporter who’ll speak on the record, but also finding one who’ll essentially admit to a national audience that he’d served as an easy mark for the most mendacious president in American history. Who’d want to volunteer for such embarrassing exposure? Well, come to think of it, enough people to furnish a buffet of these particular stories.” (06/16/25)
