“One person is dead after authorities say a resident shot an alleged intruder in their home, in the early hours of Wednesday morning, Oct. 2. According to the Camden County Sheriff’s Office, the resident on North Highway 7 called 911 and reported a burglary, saying they had shot one of the two alleged burglars and the other had fled in a vehicle. Deputies and emergency personnel responded to the scene. Medical aid was provided to the individual who had been shot, but that person was pronounced dead on the scene.” (10/02/24)
