“Imagine talking to a group of people struggling to feed their families, to pay their bills, worried about whether or not they can make their next rent of mortgage payment and, as they look to you for some glimmer of hope that you are going to make things just a little bit better for them, all you can talk about is how your opponent is the new Hitler and how they should love abortion. That’s what Democrats have become. When I was a kid, Democrats tried to talk to people about the things that mattered in their lives – the economy, taxes, the schools. Most of what they said was lies, but you at least had the sense that they were aware of your existence and problems. Not anymore.” (10/29/24)
