“One of the more surprising themes to emerge in this election cycle is the question (sometimes asked earnestly, other times in biting disbelief) of whether the Republican Party is becoming pro-union. JD Vance (R-OH) for walking a United Auto Workers (UAW) picket line. Sen. Josh Hawley [R-MO] (he of the famed raised fist on January 6, 2021) also joined UAW picketers and went on to pen an opinion piece in Compact magazine in which he called for ‘bipartisan labor law reform.'” (10/16/24)
