“China has for the first time released complete footage of a successful electromagnetic catapult launch from its latest aircraft carrier, underscoring the progress in the country’s naval capabilities. J-35 and J-15T fighters, and a KJ-600 airborne radar aircraft, can be seen taking off using the Fujian aircraft carrier’s electromagnetic catapult, according to footage released by China state broadcaster CCTV on Monday. It marked the first time that China has shown the complete takeoff sequence. Previous clips only show people cheering a successful catapult launch, without showing the actual take-off.” (09/22/25)
