“When it comes to civil liberties … conservatives in general have always been total disasters. Historically, conservatives have always felt that the constitutional protections in the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Eighth Amendments are nothing more than constitutional ‘technicalities’ designed to let guilty people go free.
