“Ten people were killed and more than 30 injured after a man intentionally drove a truck into a crowd in the US city of New Orleans in the early hours of New Year’s Day, authorities said. City officials said the attack, which took place on Bourbon Street in the city’s historic French Quarter as revelers gathered to celebrate New Year’s Eve, was deliberate. … The driver of the truck died following a shootout with police, The New York Times reported citing law enforcement officials, adding that the attack was being investigated as an act of terrorism.
