“A famous White House replica just 17 miles from San Francisco finally sold with a multimillion-dollar price tag. Located in Hillsborough, the 24,400-square-foot neoclassical mansion known as the ‘Western White House’ sold for $23 million, below its original asking price of $38.9 million. The grounds of 401 El Cerrito Ave. encompass nearly 3 acres. Compass agent Alex Buljan closed the sale of the property on Wednesday, the Sacramento Bee reported. The posh mansion was originally supposed to be offered at auction, but the owner canceled the auction in June, leaving it back on the market for traditional sale.” (10/25/24)
