It’s fitting that oncologist Siddhartha Mukherjee, in his biography of the disease, calls it the ’emperor of all maladies.’ According to the Centers for Disease Control, there were over 1.8 million new cases of cancer in Americans in 2022 …. the artificial-intelligence industry is driving a gigantic increase in power consumption — while the Republican Party is doing all in its power to make sure that electricity is generated by pollution-spewing fossil fuels instead of clean renewables. The result will be a major increase in all kinds of illness, including cancer.” (07/09/25)
