Source: SFGate

“Pacific Gas and Electric warned on Saturday of the possibility of power shutoffs in 13 California counties on Monday and Tuesday due to high winds and dry conditions, according to the utility’s website. Four Bay Area counties — Alameda, Contra Costa, Napa and Sonoma — are among the 13 that PG&E said could be subject to a Public Safety Power Shutoff. The 13 counties are: Alameda, Butte. Colusa, Contra Costa, Glenn, Humboldt, Napa. San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Shasta, Sonoma, Tehama and Trinity. Power shutoffs are used when severe weather threatens to damage equipment that could lead to a wildfire. The weather forecast calls for higher than normal temperatures [this] week.” (09/28/24)
