Report: Biden to tap former COVID czar Jeff Zients as new chief of staff

Source: Fox News

“President Biden’s former COVID-19 czar Jeff Zients will soon replace Ron Klain as White House chief of staff, The Washington Post reported Sunday. Fox News Digital has not independently confirmed the plans. Zients served as Biden’s COVID response coordinator from early 2021 through April 2022. Klain reportedly plans to step down as chief of staff in the coming days after serving in the role since Biden’s inauguration. … Klain, a longtime Biden confidante and Democratic operative, was the longest-serving chief of staff to a Democratic president. He previously served as Biden’s chief of staff when he was vice president during the Obama administration and is an attorney and former lobbyist.” (01/22/23)
