“The Department of Justice is investigating Abbott laboratories infant-formula plant in Sturgis, according to CNN Newsource. … The plant was shut down for months last year after an FDA inspection found Cronobacter Sakazakii bacteria in several areas. The bacteria can be deadly to infants. Similac, Alimentum and Elecare powdered infant formulas made at the plant were recalled, creating another hurdle for families struggling to get baby formula following supply chain issues, according to CNN Newsource.” (01/21/23)
