“Asana, the San Francisco tech startup co-founded by Facebook co-founder Dustin Moskovitz, is laying off 9% of its staff, a company spokesperson told SFGATE in an email Tuesday. The corporate productivity company is laying off around 150 employees, citing ‘a restructuring plan intended to improve our operational efficiencies and operating costs and better align Asana’s workforce with current business needs.’ (A March SEC filing said that the company employed 1,666 employees at the end of January 2022.) Affected employees will receive 12 weeks base salary and three months of health coverage, in addition to a $500 job-seeking support stipend and other employment support.” (11/16/22)
