“It was a bright and sunny Friday morning when a Shreveport high school received a private showing of a film from, Will Smith. On Nov. 11, at 9:30 a.m. Cinemark Tinseltown and Regal Louisiana Boardwalk ushered in bus after bus of Southwood High School students in response to the recent Dads on Duty initiative. ‘Why we are here at Tinseltown as well as Regal movie theatre in Bossier City is for an exclusive screening of Will Smith’s new movie ‘King Richard,” Michael LaFitte, co-founder of Dads on Duty said. ‘The movie touches hearts and is extremely special because the story of King Richard births here in Shreveport. He is from here right around the corner. So, it’s an opportunity for our youth to be able to come and see this very special movie on this very special day.'” (11/21/21)
