“Trump’s fantastical plan for Gaza is another expression of Washington’s myopia towards Israeli-Palestinian relations. It avoids the elephant in the living room that is the Palestinian people‘s right to self-determination — a protracted struggle against the Israeli state’s effort to ethnically cleanse and displace Palestinians. Despite the temporary peace that has emerged from the recent ceasefire, the structural problems of Israel’s continued occupation of Palestine and America’s slavish devotion to the Israeli state remain.” (03/04/25)
