“Australia will cut the number of incoming international students over concerns about migration and housing prices, a move that has raised fears for revenues in the country’s education sector. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s government on Tuesday announced it would introduce a cap of 270,000 for new international students from next year. That represents a reduction of one-third from the 402,600 international students who commenced at higher education and vocational training institutions in Australia in 2023, according to Department of Education data.” (08/27/24)
