“As world leaders gather in San Francisco for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit, protesters calling for an Israel-Hamas cease-fire blocked all westbound lanes east of Treasure Island on the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge on Thursday morning, the California Highway Patrol said. CHP Officer Mark Andrews told SFGATE at 9:15 a.m. that arrests are being made. Traffic remained at a standstill as of 9 a.m., according to KCBS, and Caltrans and CHP are on scene with tow trucks.
